Britney Vs. Sam Lutfi

When it comes to the ongoing legal battle between Britney Spears and her former manager Sam Lutfi, E! News can confirm that the pop singer will not be taking the stand when the trial starts next week. 

And here's why...

E! News has obtained the witness list for Lutfi's defamation trial against Spears and her parents, but Brit's name isn't on that list because the probate judge issued an order stating that since she is still under a conservatorship, she cannot be called to testify.

Judge Reva Goetz, who has been overseeing Spears' conservatorship since 2008, ruled that putting Britney on the stand would cause her "irreparable harm and immediate danger."

But Spears' fiancé Jason Trawick is not so lucky.

Because Trawick was recently appointed to serve as Britney's co-conservator over her person (sharing the duties with Britney's father), he will be called to testify.

Also expected to take the stand are Spears' mother, Lynne, her father, James, the custodian of records for UCLA Medical Center where Spears was briefly hospitalized, Britney's former rumored boyfriend photographer Adnan Ghalib and another X17 photographer formerly close to the star. 

Lutfi filed his lawsuit against Spears in February 2009 for libel, defamation, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract after the publication of Lynne Spears' book Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, in which Lutfi alleges he was slandered.

Glee : Britney 2.0 Review

On Glee’s second episode of the season, the group did a mash up of Britney Spears and Justin Bieber songs. This episode started off with Brittany explaining how she is the cheer captain then broke into a mash up of Britney Spears’ song “Hold it against me.”

Brittany was then told by Coach Sylvester she is off the cheer squad because her grades are not as good as they should be to stay on an extracurricular activity. She seems not that bothered by it, but she is compulsively eating, now.

Rachel and Kurt are now looking for a place to live together in New York. Kurt says he is going to apply to go to NYADA for the second semester. In the meanwhile, he is going to find a job while Rachel is still dealing with her dance professor “hating” her. Rachel now understands why she is the way she is. Kurt apparently knew of who she was. Her outbreak at a performance because an audience member had his cell phone go off during her show, explains why she is the way she is.

During a mash up of Britney Spears’ song “Boys” and Justin Bieber’s song “Boyfriend,” Brittany just got up and almost shaved her head. Mr. Schuester thinks she may be having a little trouble with accepting the fact she got held back a year because her grades were not that good. She then went out of the classroom to her locker and was bombarded by paparazzi and reenacted how Spears once went haywire on paparazzi with an umbrella.

In the meanwhile, Rachel’s professor thinks she does not have the sex appeal to be in a tango piece. She then did her rendition of Spears’ song “Oops! I did it again.” Still, her professor was not impressed and Rachel told her off about how she has a washed up career, so her professor kicked her out of the class.

Marley’s struggle with having her mother as the lunch lady continues. Students are still making fun of her, and each time she says “That’s my mother!”, yet they still don’t shut up. Her possible new beau, Jake, stood up for her and started a fight with the two guys who made fun of her mother this time.

Not entirely sure if it was a good idea for Rachel to go back and apologize for what she said because her professor does not believe in second chances. Under the school policy, Rachel only gets a warning and is back in the class.

After the pep rally at McKinley high, which Brittany was eating cheese puffs on stage during her performance, Mr. Schuester yelled at the Glee Club for lip-syncing. Lip-syncing is never accepted in Glee Club, and because the whole group was looking to help Brittany out because she is having issues lately, she walked out and quit Glee Club.

Brittany then went back in to try to get her spot back on the cheer squad and since her grades are getting back to where they should be, Ms. Sylvester let her back in. Also, Jake is now in the Glee Club, after he has a new girlfriend who made it known to Marley that she won’t be getting her man anytime soon.

Rachel is still having trouble missing Finn, and having her new possible crush on Brody there; it may be hard for her to miss Finn as much as she did.

The episode next week features actress, Sarah Jessica Parker in it. Things may start heating up between Rachel and Brody as well as student elections are underway! They may get a little more out of control than what was supposed to happen.

Britney's Technicolor Hair

She’s gone blonde, brunette, even bald, but this is something we’ve never seen on Britney Spears before.
The pop star debuted teal, blue and hot pink tips over the weekend at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. And Spears must have been happy with how her My Little Pony-inspired mane came out because she decided to stick with the look, wearing it out in Calabasas, Calif., on Monday.
We’re used to seeing this kind of bold ‘do from her X Factor co-judge Demi Lovato, but Spears has been playing it relatively safe with her strands since joining the show, sticking with her signature blonde color.
So, we’re a little surprised to see the singer sport such a funky hairstyle. That said, we have to give Spears props for trying something fresh (and having the style sense to rock her Technicolor mane with a simple LBD).

There are several women's names currently being tossed around as potential judges for the upcoming season of "X Factor." Avril Lavigne, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears are the leading rumored contenders to replace Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul for the show's completely revamped second season, which kicks off later this year.

In a recent press call, Simon Cowell would not confirm who producers were talking to, but he did not deny that Jackson was on the table. "You can probably count on two girls," fellow judge L.A. Reid added. "That we can confirm."

Cowell recently addressed the Britney buzz on Billy Bush's radio show, continuing to play coy about the chatter. "Well, I'm fascinated by her. The fact that she's still one of the most talked-about — not just pop stars, but people — in the world today means that you've got this star power. This girl's got resilience, and the fact that she's survived this and she's still hot, she's still having hit records and she's still controversial ... there's a reason for that.

"I would think that if she's managed to sustain a family, a career, which is tough, this is a walk in the park," he added, noting that he believes she would be a good judge. While Cowell seems to be dancing around the issue, British "X Factor" judge Louis Walsh may have let the cat out of the bag in an interview on U.K. talk show "Craig Doyle Live." He shared that Spears was indeed talking to producers about possibly joining the show.

"I know he is talking to Britney. I know he's definitely talking to Britney to do the American show. Absolutely true and maybe Janet Jackson," he said. In the end, Cowell summed up the current spate of rumors on that conference call. "There's a load of speculation, some true, some not true. It's true to say that a lot more people have entered the frame this year. We were waiting to see who was going to contact us before we actually contacted people," he said last week. "We're in that place right now, which is a good place to be in. We will meet a number of people over the next few weeks, mainly to explain to them that this is a big commitment when you do a show like this because of the mentoring aspect."

Britney Still Google+ QUEEN

Our Queen Britney is the first artist to reach two million followers on Google+ - that's a huge social-media milestone. And, being as she had one million followers just seven months ago, that means she's been quietly totting up 30,000 friends per day!

For those who aren't really savvy with newbie social media site Google+, perhaps the more traditional stats will help make things clear; 17.3 million Facebook friends and 13.2 million Twitter followers helps prove that Britney is pretty damn popular.

However, Britney will be well aware that her reign as social media supreme could be over very soon; President Barack Obama recently joined Google+ and is working the site to his benefit, even going one step further than Britney by using Hangout, the online video chat service.

Regardless of the future, a big congrats are in order; well done for breaking the ice in the social media circus, Britney!

Wanting to show the world what a perfect couple looks like, the "I Wanna Go" singer posted a beautiful photo on Facebook of herself snuggling up to fiance Jason Trawick, and she even made it her default pic! (Big dealzees!) The pair have been engaged for a few months, and we have to say they look happier than ever. WE CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS WEDDING! Everyone, all together now: "Awwww!"

Britney New Album?

The internet had a mini explosion today when rumors arose that Britney Spears was working with the up-and-coming artist Marina and the Diamonds.

Before I go any further, do you know who Marina and the Diamonds is?

First of Marina and the Diamonds is one person, but that one person does have a band. Second, Marina is a singer from the UK whose musical style ranges from ballads to more up-tempo, New Wave songs.

Anyways, the rumors were ignited by the following tweet posted by Marina:

Could such a big celebrity like Britney actually be doing a collaboration with such newcomer?
Unfortunately, as it turns out the tweet was just a joke.
Producers associated with Marina tweeted to clarify the situation:

Obviously Britney’s a little preoccupied right now with her personal life, namely her current wedding engagement.

Queen B has been looking fairly trim these days, so it's not as if the V shot is a tremendous diversion from her usual look--at least, weightwise. The photo does have an odd look to it, though. Compare for yourselves--here's Spears in September, just a short while after the V shoot was reported to have taken place.

V had no comment at the time this blog was written as to whether or not the photo had been altered. The issue with Spears will hit newsstands Thursday. To view more photos, visit the magazine's site.

Even though her record label confirmed that Brit Brit's taking a little break in 2012 to spend some time away with friends and family, that doesn't mean that the pop princess isn't keeping us entertained in Spearit.

Three years ago, K-Pop sensation BoA came Stateside to release her English language self-titled pop debut, including a bouncy little Bloodshy & Avant-produced track, "Look Who's Talking Now," which is one of the songs that had fans buzzing most. Why? A little co-writing credit by the one and only Miss Britney Spears.

Cut to almost three years later, and voilà! The original demo by Miss Spears has made its way to the web. Written around the time of her fourth studio album In The Zone, "Look Who's Talking Now" sees Queen B in full girlish emancipation mode: "Fast cars and bubble baths/High heels stepping on the gas/Yeah, they're looking at me," Spears taunts on the bouncy, bubbly pop number. And don't forget that extra sass: "Controversy is all they want," she purrs later on. Oh my God, that Britney's shameless!

Justin Timberlake may be engaged to Jessica Biel, but he has a long list of beautiful ex-girlfriends which include Britney Spears (in her heyday) and Cameron Diaz. So, it must get crowded in Hollywood for Justin sometimes. Fortunately, the "SexyBack" singer always manages to keep his cool. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Hollywood obviously has a quirky sense of humor because they put their Timberlake wax figurine on display in front of their Spears and Diaz figurines. And, that look on wax-Timberlake's face is precious. Would that be the real look he'd have if he was ever stuck in the same room with only Spears and Diaz? Probably.

All three figurines are well done, but Britney Spears' is spot on. Unfortunately, Cameron Diaz's falls short and Justin Timberlake's looks a little too meaty. Overall, it's a well done and well thought out display. Now, if only Madame Tussauds could create a Jessica Biel one with a scowl on her face. That would be priceless.

Madonna Talks Britney!

Nearly a decade after Madonna kissed popstars Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera during an MTV VMA performance, she's still being asked about it.

In a new interview with "Nightline" airing tonight, the 53-year-old is shown a series of photos from iconic moments in her career, and said of her famous kiss with Spears, "Nice moment, good kisser, cool," but she wouldn't do it again. "No, I already did it. I don't like to repeat myself."

When shown a photo of herself dressed in her "boytoy costume," the singer recalled, "It was the MTV awards. I lost my shoe, I did a stage dive, my dress went up, everyone saw my underpants, scandal, scandal, scandal. My manager told me that my career was over

Britney's Kids Cutest Photoshoot!

 With her succesful tour wrapped and a ring on her finger, Britney Spears is settling back into a quiet life at home with sons Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5 — and the proud mom has been posting the photos to prove it.

“Jayden is having some hair-raising fun on the trampoline!” the popstar wrote Wednesday, sharing a photo of her boys playing together outside on her Facebook page.

On Tuesday, Spears — who celebrated her 30th birthday last month — also showed off her “little Hercules,” Tweeting a photo of Preston flexing at his gymnastics class.

The boys’ father Kevin Federline recently praised his ex-wife’s new fiancé Jason Trawick, saying, “I think he’s a great guy. The kids speak highly of him. Her family loves him.”

Britney's FFT at #3 Billboard Hot Tours!

Landing at No. 3 this week is Britney Spears with two concerts reported from the final weeks of her 2011 Femme Fatale Tour that ended in December.  Her tally includes her sold out concert in Caracas, Venezuela on Nov. 28 as well as a Dec. 10 performance in Puerto Rico.  The Caracas show was held at the football stadium on the campus of the Universidad Simón Bolívar, and the concert in Puerto Rico occurred at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in the San Juan suburb of Hato Rey.

Justin Timberlake wrote and recorded his 2002 hit single Cry me a River after a fight with his then-girlfriend Britney Spears. The song has long been rumoured to detail the breakdown of the couple's romance and the video even featured a girl bearing a striking similarity to Spears.

Timberlake has always denied the claims, but now his producer pal, Timbaland, has confirmed the Toxic hitmaker was the inspiration for the track as it was made following a heated phone conversation between the young lovers.

In a new E! True Hollywood Story special about Timbaland, the super producer says, "He went to a concert and saw Britney, and Britney talked about him in the show and he was pissed." Timberlake, who stops short of mentioning Spears by name, explains, "I was on a phone call that was not the most enjoyable phone call. I walked into the studio and he (Timbaland) could tell I was visibly angry." The singer poured out his feelings in the song, and the emotion showed in his opening lyrics.

Timbaland recalls, "I was like, 'Man, don't worry about it' and he was like, 'I can't believe she did that to me' and he was like, 'You were my sun, you were my earth...'" The former 'N Sync star split from Spears that year. The track went on to land Timberlake the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
