Britney New Album?

Britney New Album?
The internet had a mini explosion today when rumors arose that Britney Spears was working with the up-and-coming artist Marina and the Diamonds.
Before I go any further, do you know who Marina and the Diamonds is?
First of Marina and the Diamonds is one person, but that one person does have a band. Second, Marina is a singer from the UK whose musical style ranges from ballads to more up-tempo, New Wave songs.
Still with me?
Anyways, the rumors were ignited by the following tweet posted by Marina:
Could such a big celebrity like Britney actually be doing a collaboration with such newcomer?
Unfortunately, as it turns out the tweet was just a joke.
Producers associated with Marina tweeted to clarify the situation:
Obviously Britney’s a little preoccupied right now with her personal life, namely her current wedding engagement.
Who would you like to see Britney Spears collaborate with on her next album?

Britney Friday News!

Queen B has been looking fairly trim these days, so it's not as if the V shot is a tremendous diversion from her usual look--at least, weightwise. The photo does have an odd look to it, though. Compare for yourselves--here's Spears in September, just a short while after the V shoot was reported to have taken place.
V had no comment at the time this blog was written as to whether or not the photo had been altered. The issue with Spears will hit newsstands Thursday. To view more photos, visit the magazine's site.
What do you think? Is this photo simply Spears at her slimmest, or do you agree that it's a work of Photoshop art?
Even though her record label confirmed that Brit Brit's taking a little break in 2012 to spend some time away with friends and family, that doesn't mean that the pop princess isn't keeping us entertained in Spearit.
Three years ago, K-Pop sensation BoA came Stateside to release her English language self-titled pop debut, including a bouncy little Bloodshy & Avant-produced track, "Look Who's Talking Now," which is one of the songs that had fans buzzing most. Why? A little co-writing credit by the one and only Miss Britney Spears.
Cut to almost three years later, and voilĂ ! The original demo by Miss Spears has made its way to the web. Written around the time of her fourth studio album In The Zone, "Look Who's Talking Now" sees Queen B in full girlish emancipation mode: "Fast cars and bubble baths/High heels stepping on the gas/Yeah, they're looking at me," Spears taunts on the bouncy, bubbly pop number. And don't forget that extra sass: "Controversy is all they want," she purrs later on. Oh my God, that Britney's shameless!
Justin Timberlake may be engaged to Jessica Biel, but he has a long list of beautiful ex-girlfriends which include Britney Spears (in her heyday) and Cameron Diaz. So, it must get crowded in Hollywood for Justin sometimes. Fortunately, the "SexyBack" singer always manages to keep his cool. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Hollywood obviously has a quirky sense of humor because they put their Timberlake wax figurine on display in front of their Spears and Diaz figurines. And, that look on wax-Timberlake's face is precious. Would that be the real look he'd have if he was ever stuck in the same room with only Spears and Diaz? Probably.
All three figurines are well done, but Britney Spears' is spot on. Unfortunately, Cameron Diaz's falls short and Justin Timberlake's looks a little too meaty. Overall, it's a well done and well thought out display. Now, if only Madame Tussauds could create a Jessica Biel one with a scowl on her face. That would be priceless.

Britney's Kids Cutest Photoshoot!
With her succesful tour wrapped and a ring on her finger, Britney Spears is settling back into a quiet life at home with sons Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5 — and the proud mom has been posting the photos to prove it.
“Jayden is having some hair-raising fun on the trampoline!” the popstar wrote Wednesday, sharing a photo of her boys playing together outside on her Facebook page.
On Tuesday, Spears — who celebrated her 30th birthday last month — also showed off her “little Hercules,” Tweeting a photo of Preston flexing at his gymnastics class.
The boys’ father Kevin Federline recently praised his ex-wife’s new fiancĂ© Jason Trawick, saying, “I think he’s a great guy. The kids speak highly of him. Her family loves him.”

JT & Britney Past Fights!

JT & Britney Past Fights!
Justin Timberlake wrote and recorded his 2002 hit single Cry me a River after a fight with his then-girlfriend Britney Spears. The song has long been rumoured to detail the breakdown of the couple's romance and the video even featured a girl bearing a striking similarity to Spears.

Timberlake has always denied the claims, but now his producer pal, Timbaland, has confirmed the Toxic hitmaker was the inspiration for the track as it was made following a heated phone conversation between the young lovers.

In a new E! True Hollywood Story special about Timbaland, the super producer says, "He went to a concert and saw Britney, and Britney talked about him in the show and he was pissed." Timberlake, who stops short of mentioning Spears by name, explains, "I was on a phone call that was not the most enjoyable phone call. I walked into the studio and he (Timbaland) could tell I was visibly angry." The singer poured out his feelings in the song, and the emotion showed in his opening lyrics.

Timbaland recalls, "I was like, 'Man, don't worry about it' and he was like, 'I can't believe she did that to me' and he was like, 'You were my sun, you were my earth...'" The former 'N Sync star split from Spears that year. The track went on to land Timberlake the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.

How I Roll Tops 25 Songs of 2011

How I Roll Tops 25 Songs of 2011
Rolling Stone’s Pop Life blog has just unleashed their list of the ‘Top 25 Songs of 2011,’ and author Rob Sheffield is really mixing it up on his countdown. Forget Adele! Britney Spears is the No. 1 artist on the list, snagging the spot for her “fiendishly inventive” ‘Femme Fatale’ track ‘How I Roll.’

Although ‘How I Roll’ isn’t even a single off of Brit’s seventh studio album, Sheffield has the song sitting pretty at No. 1 on his list because of the song’s “tension-building sound effects” and plot, which pretty much sums up the “story of pop music.” The song was produced by Bloodshy and Avant, who also produced her hits ‘Toxic’ and ‘Piece of Me,’ so it’s no wonder why people like Sheffield are digging the song.

Big Sean and Beyonce are also front-runners on the Rolling Stone list, with the rapper’s remix of ‘Dance (A$$),’ which features a verse from Nicki Minaj, landing at No. 2. Sheffield is a big fan of ‘Dance (A$$), writing, “The Nicki showcase of the year, in a brilliantly titled avant-moron booty-clap bass throwback where the Hammer-time keyboard hook seems to beam in from another planet.” Beyonce, who is referred to as the “most aggressively sane pop diva,” comes in at No. 3 with her track ‘Countdown.’

The most surprising aspects of this list? Well, first of all, Rebecca Black‘s ‘Friday’ is included on the countdown. What’s even more surprising? She beat Adele on the list, coming in at No. 8 while the chart-topping British beauty comes in at No. 15 with ‘Rolling in the Deep.’

Some other artists that made the list include Nicki Minaj (her tracks ‘Super Bass’ and ‘Girlfriend’ came in at No. 9 and No. 24, respectively), Rihanna (‘We Found Love’ is No. 11), Jay-Z and Kanye West (coming in at No. 6 for their Frank Ocean-featured track ‘No Church in the Wild’), Avril Lavigne (No. 22 for ‘What the Hell’) and Lady Gaga (she rounds out the list at No. 25 with ‘The Edge of Glory’). Femme Fatale Tour Goes Platinum

Femme Fatale Tour Goes Platinum
Britney Spears' 'Femme Fatale' live concert DVD has achieved sales of 100,000, certifying it with platinum status. The DVD was released in the UK on the 21st November and was filmed during her shows at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.

The achievement has been recognised by the Recording Industry Association of America who announced the 'Gimme More' singer's feat. During the UK leg of the worldwide outing the 'Baby One More Time' singer was supported by boy band The Wanted at her Manchester show.

Meanwhile, Britney recently got engaged to her former agent Jason Trawick and was pictured flashing off her engagement ring at a party in Las Vegas earlier this week. A 3D version of the DVD is expected to be released in February 2012.

50 Cent is Happy for Britney's Engagement!

50 Cent is Happy for Britney's Engagement!
Getting engaged is agreeing with Britney Spears, and everyone in Hollywood seems to be supporting her! One of her many fans is rapper 50 Cent, who told told reporters at the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul concert in NYC last night how happy he is for her.

"I am so happy for her," he said. "Britney Spears had a rough time. The press took the biggest opportunity ever to dog her. When you reach that point, you work really hard to get where she was. It’s interesting because the general public likes to build you to destroy you for the sake of entertainment, and I’m happy for her to be happy."

Fiddy continued by saying he thinks Britney is ready to be married for a third time. "I hope she is," he remarked. "Wouldn’t you like to hope? Let’s just put that in the universe that she is ready."

Britney seems to be ready, as she celebrated her engagement all weekend long in Las Vegas wearing her new stunning Neil Lane sparkler. (OK Magz)

From Jessie J's infectious 'Price Tag' to Gym Class Heroes 'Stereo Hearts,' we look back and remember all the momentous musical moments that lit up the Top 40 charts. Read for a pop-tastic flashback of the year that was, and see if your favorite hits made the Top 21 countdown!

1. 'Till the World Ends,' Britney Spears

After a year of uprisings, occupations and riots, no song quite captured 2011's end-of-days vibe like Brit's biggest, boldest epic yet. Sure, the charts have been filled with similar electro bangers since Britney herself ushered in pop's rave-ival during her 'Blackout' days, but 'Til The World Ends' outshines 'em with the sinister euphoria of an exploding sun. And yes, it was better than the remix. -- Joshua Ostroff

Britney at #10 Forbes Top-Earning Women 2011 List!

Britney at #10 Forbes Top-Earning Women 2011 List!
She may not have been born this way, but Lady Gaga was pop's top-earning woman in 2011.

According to Forbes, Lady Gaga earned $90 million from album sales, touring and endorsements -- double the estimated earnings of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, who made $45 million and $44 million, respectively. In Gaga context, that's over $5 million for each of the pop provocateur's nearly 17 million Twitter followers, or $2 million a piece for her Facebook little monsters. The numbers reflect earnings between May 2010 and 2011.

That calendar means Adele, who notched $18 million and ninth place with only a few months of record-keeping for her chart-ruling "21," may be tough competition for Mother Monster in 2012.

Rounding out the top 10 list was Beyonce ($35 million), Rihanna ($29 million), Pink ($22 million), Carrie Underwood ($20 million), Celine Dion ($19 million) and Britney Spears, who tied with Alicia Keys at $10 million for the No. 10 spot.

Overall, U2 was Forbes' top act in music, with the band notching $195 million.

TTWE on MTV's 25 Best Songs Of 2011 List!

TTWE on MTV's 25 Best Songs Of 2011 List!
In 2011, we shuffled and shook it out. We found love and decided to dance until the world ends. We rolled in the deep and celebrated the boys with the booming systems. Shoot, at one point, we even went to Paris with Will Ferrell. It was, to say the very least, an interesting 12 months.

So, how else to sum up the year than with my picks for the 25 Best Songs of 2011: odes to partying and pumped-up kicks, songs of sadness and beauty, tunes about getting loaded and getting revenge. Pop, hip-hop, rock, bed-tronica, they're all here, and they're all important in some way, mostly because they all helped guide us through a rather tumultuous time. But that's enough from me, let's get to the songs. Oh, and I'd like to hear your picks too — drop me a line in the comments below. So now, on with the countdown.

#10. Britney Spears, "Till the World Ends": I have been accused (many times) of being a Brit basher and, sure, that's probably true, but not even I could deny this song. Super-charged star-burst synthesizers, robo-vocals and, of course, that iconic "Woah-Oh-Oh" chantalong, it's the party jam for the post-apocalyptic future. And because of all that, it's also an important song; not only a reminder that Britney is still capable of making truly terrific pop music, but that, really, she never stopped. And coming from one of her most ardent critics, that's high praise indeed.(MTV.COM)
