On 25th June, Britney Spears performed a two-hour set that led with the No. 1 hit ‘Hold It Against Me‘. From there she strutted with confidence through tracks from her latest album, Femme Fatale, including ‘Up and Down‘, ‘Trouble For Me’, and ‘He About To Lose Me’.
Between the hard choreography, in which Spears managed to work the room with tight movement and hairography, she exuded delight in ‘How I Roll’, where she rode on the hood of a convertible with a beaming smile while she waved to fans.
For the latest single, ‘I Wanna Go‘, she held the same giddiness as the entire arena hopped in unison to the thumping chorus, while a few lucky fans were escorted on stage to dance along.
For slower numbers like ‘He About To Lose Me’ and ‘Don’t Let Me Be The Last To Know’, Spears still manages to captivate through graceful movement that the veteran has perfected over years as a dancer.
Remixed into the set was ‘Gimme More’ in a new Egyptian theme and ‘Toxic’ in a vibrant Japan-inspired segment.
The crowd went wild when Spears performed the iconic choreography of ‘Slave 4 U’ in booty shorts, hitting all her marks with ease and subduing claims that the singer had lost the ability to match her previous work.
The singer closed the set with the second single from Femme Fatale, ‘Till The World Ends‘ in a dazzling display of pyrotechnics and a guest appearance by opener Nicki Minaj, the latter of which delivered an impressive set with hits like ‘Moment 4 Life’ and ‘Super Bass’. Equally enjoyable were openers Australian DJ team Nervo and Jesse and the Toy Boys. (news.punchjump)
